With his particular multicultural perspective and appetite for new aesthetic experiences, interior architect and designer Jun Gobron is pleased to join the jury members as President and continue writing the SILMO d’Or story.
Born in Namibia to a Belgian father and Japanese mother, Jun Gobron grew up with a great curiosity about the world. After graduating in Economics from the Free University of Brussels (ULB) and gaining several years of experience in multinational companies, he decided to make a career change and become an interior architect and designer.

With his passion for aesthetics, enthusiasm for creation and entrepreneurship, Jun Gobron then began studying at the École supérieure des Arts Saint-Luc in Brussels, which awakened his creative eye and innate sensitivity. This allowed him to develop his talent as a “designer of lightness”, combining the simplicity and streamlining of Japan with the ornate decoration of Europe.
New project SILMO d’Or 2022
Thanks to his extensive training, Jun Godron is a pragmatic yet imaginative professional: “I learned a lot about business, and that helps me in my daily work. The profession of interior architect or designer is not limited to the creative side … In fact, that’s only a small part of it. Once you have an idea, you have to implement it. You become a kind of project manager. You’re responsible for dealing with the various parties involved, creating budgets, planning and so on,” he explains.
His upcoming projects now include SILMO d’Or 2022.
