Ochis Tsvit: Carrying a piece of Ukraine into the world
von Editor,
Ochis Eyewear from Kiev has always been inspired by the richness of nature and feels closely connected to the earth as the source of life. To illustrate this, the eyewear label uses the petals of flowers from Ukrainian fields in its new Tsvit sunglasses collection.
The Ochis collection Tsvit (Ukrainian for flower) is filled with real sunflowers, marigolds and cornflowers. These flowers are mentioned in Ukrainian folklore, songs and poems, they bloom in traditional wreaths and on vyshyvankas (embroidery designs). From now on, they will also bloom in the glasses of Ochis.

The six different frame designs in this collection each have three possible flower options. The yellow sunflower represents the unwavering will of the people (volya). Red marigolds are a symbol of infinite strength (syla). The blue cornflowers symbolise unbearable beauty (krasa).
The sunglasses with marigolds have brown lenses, the ones with sunflowers and cornflowers have grey lenses. Each order is packed in a coffee case, matching the same flowers of the frame.
Ochis Tsvit: Colourful Wreath of Culture
“Each frame in this collection carries a piece of Ukraine within it, and together they form a colourful wreath of our culture. We are different, but we are united by one territory, one love and the desire to live in a peaceful and independent country. We want to flourish on our land,” explain Max Havrylenko and Akim Karpach, the founders of Ochis.
“Tsvit is an opportunity to carry your literal roots with you and bring a piece of Ukraine to the world wherever you are.”
